2004 La Baume Syrah rosé

We are pleased to inform you that 2004 has been rated *** in the French 'Revue du Vin de France' magazine 2005 July/August issue. Really delicious as the other wines of this estate - showing consistentquality. This syrah rosé is fruity, rich, with a lingering finish and  has been selected by KLM and Cathay Pacific Airlines for their businessclass wine list.

Best regards,

Karine HAMELIN

Harvest Day - 3

We will start harvest during the night of the 25th (august) with the chardonnay of La Baume.
As far as now, the conditions are perfect with no disease on the vineyard and interesting maturity process.
Cool temperature during the night and normal temperature during the day allow a perfect maturity process.
The temperatures are cooler since two days that compensates the water evaporation due to the strong northern wind.
Nothing to mention regarding the white grapes except : 'TOUT VA BIEN'. Regarding the red grapes, the irrigated vineyard should have better conditions for maturation as some may suffer from hydric stress and may know an 'artificial' concentration (high level of alcohol - no physiological maturity).

This year, each varietal will mature at really different period and will allow us to have distinct campaign.
Calendar will be:

Chardonnay : this week to end of august
Sauvignon : begining of september
Viognier : mid september
Syrah : mid september
Merlot / Cabernet: end of september - begining of october
